    Be kind and rewind!

    Firstly - quit the self-critical thinking. Be kinder to yourself and when your brain starts to fill up with negativity, stop, rewind and replace that junk with positive self-talk! We're all guilty of being hard on ourselves but a little self-praise is guaranteed to pep up your mood.

    Share that kindness

    Random acts of kindness do wonders for a low mood. You could try something as small as helping someone cross the road or an act that requires regular commitment like volunteering. Making someone else smile equals *hello* feel-good factor!

    Be grateful

    Try this: write down three things you're grateful for. It could be family and friends that give you emotional support, a job that gives you freedom to travel or the fact that you live just five minutes from your favourite coffee shop. Doesn't matter. What matters is that when you practice daily gratitude, you feel joyful, which makes you feel grateful, and so on...

    Surround yourself with positive people!

    If your friends are the type to spread happy vibes and live life to the full, their attitudes are bound to rub off on you! They'll help you see the good in all things, find humour in bad situations and also make you feel grateful *see above*

    Try a personal pep talk

    Find a phrase you like the sound of or get some of those daily affirmation flash cards. However you discover your personal mantra, be sure to repeat it on the daily. In the mirror. Out loud.
